Hi, I'm Dante Harker. This is my work.
I made everything here. The ideas, the writing, the music, the photographs...
These are my ideas, built so you can paint in them. Start with the three you can mess about with right here, then open any of the ten. Each one lives right here. Make something worthy of the fridge, or just click buttons until it makes a noise you like.

Twenty-three short stories, free to read here or nick as a PDF or EPUB. Fair warning: some of these are decades old. You can usually spot my twenties by the body count, the doomed relationships, and how cross everyone is. Pick a mood, or spin the wheel and take your chances.
Six books from different decades of my life. Farce in a therapy room, a Welsh breakup, a Thai mountain, a Bolivian fever dream, thirty sleep scripts, and one horror novel from my darker years that my mother was advised to skip. Tap a cover for the honest version.
Dumped mid-trip in Bolivia, Jack follows a stranger into the Amazon. Shamanic ritual and an unravelling mind become very hard to tell apart.
Find it on AmazonNewly single in Wales after a long relationship implodes, Jake falls into online dating, chaotic holidays, and people who should not be trusted with a bar tab.
Find it on AmazonThirty guided dream scripts to read before sleep, drawn from twenty-five years of clinical hypnotherapy. Cheaper than a weekend retreat, and you get to stay in bed.
Find it on AmazonFarce in the consulting room. Written well before I was sensible enough to keep a lid on it. Sessions go sideways, boundaries evaporate, and the whole thing tips into comic carnage.
Find it on AmazonInside the head of a predatory killer backpacking through South East Asia. Vintage pitch-black horror from my younger, bleaker writing days. Only open this one if you have a strong stomach.
Find it on AmazonThree thirty-somethings quit Britain to teach English on a Thai mountain. Humidity, cheap whisky, questionable motives, and the discovery that you bring yourself with you.
Find it on AmazonWritten back when I worked in charity mental health and homelessness, and had plenty to say about bureaucracy and park-bench philosophy. One is a Job Centre on a Monday morning. The other is three people, too much cider, and a hypothetical murder. Flick through a scene or grab the script.
Grace arrives at 10, because HR said so. Cath has been here since 8, and she has opinions about biscuits, forms, and the smell of the waiting room.
Cath. You must be Grace, you're late.
Grace. HR told me to arrive at 10 on my first day.
Cath. HR aren't based here any more. If you ask me, they got sick of the smell and went elsewhere.
Grace. Are we allowed to use the word tramp? I'm sure that was on the list in my induction pack.
Cath. They gave you an induction pack? When I started they showed me the biscuits and handed me a file of forms.
Cath. Are you saying I look old?
Grace. N—
Cath. This job will do that to you. How old are you now, 23, 24?
A struck-off doctor, a disgraced barrister, and Kim, who grew up in care. They pass the cider and keep returning to the same question.
Char. If you were going to kill someone, how would you do it?
Kim. Not that rubbish again. We go through this every night I can remember.
Calum. If all that cider hadn't rotted your brain, you'd have done it by now.
Kim. I'd pick someone at random and smash their head in with a rock.
Calum. But then you'd go to prison.
Kim. And? It's got to beat sleeping out here.
Char. You can't just go around smashing people's heads in. It's not very ladylike. It's tacky.
Kim. Tacky. Well, that's me all over.
Two electronic albums I made when the novels were resting. Tap a sleeve to spin a preview chime, or open them properly on Spotify and Amazon. The photos are just along the table.
October 2024. Ten tracks, twenty-six minutes. Heavy bass, half-time drums, dark synths. Apologies in advance to purists.
Tap the sleeve to set it spinning.
February 2025. Ten tracks, forty minutes. Late-night arpeggios and a pulse for getting things done when the house is quiet.

Five prints fanned out like they just came back from Boots. Definitely from the brooding-bridges era of my camera roll. Tap one to bring it up close.
This site is also the promo for me talking. I speak the way I write: plainly, from my own work. Festivals, panels, podcasts, and rooms full of therapists. Twenty-five years in the therapy room, thirty years building things, novels and plays and music in between.
Creativity, and making a lot of work without letting the laptop win. AI and a crowded head, and how tools should quiet a mind rather than fill it. Identity lag, when your life has moved on and your self-image has not caught up. Sex and relationships, treated like a hobby rather than a performance review, in plain language, without the shame.

If you want me involved, this is the place. Tell me which of these it is, and I'll write back. If it doesn't fit a box, that's usually the interesting one.
Festival stages, conference panels, podcasts, and rooms where you want someone who actually makes the work they're talking about.
A story, a script, a collaboration, an installation. My novels, plays and studios are the proof of how I think.
Something built around how you actually work. Hypno Admin Pro is one I made for therapists.
CPD for therapists through Gold Leaf Training, including AI in practice and men's psychosexual health. Clinical work itself lives at danteharker.com.
Small tools I built because something annoyed me: sitting at a desk until my spine complained, ad trackers trying to sell me retirement plans because I turned fifty, or coding agents deleting files while I walked the dog.
Sitting at your desk too long? A friendly Chrome reminder to stand up, move, and take a proper break. Completely free.
