Anjin: a 3D Shōgun tap-puzzle adventure

A close friend of mine loves two things: those maddeningly satisfying 3D tap-away block puzzles on his Android, and proper old-school historical adventure heroes like John Blackthorne in Shōgun. So I built him his own version. Thirty 3D sculptures of tall ships, brass astrolabes, flintlock pistols, horned kabuto helmets and five-tiered pagodas, wrapped around a five-chapter story from shipwrecked pilot to Grand Hatamoto. Play it right here, or install it on an Android home screen in two taps without a single advert.

How it plays

Spin the relic. Clear the arrows. Unseal the core.

01

Rotate 360° in 3D

Drag with a thumb or mouse to turn the 3D voxel sculpture in any direction—no awkward camera lock when peeking underneath the keel of a ship.

02

Tap unblocked katana arrows

Every block of ship timber, brass, or lacquered steel carries a directional arrow. If nothing stands in its path, tap it to send it flying with a koto pluck and katana slash.

03

Crack armour, keys & powder kegs

Iron-rimmed armour blocks take two taps to shatter. Golden Toranaga seals stay chained until you launch their key block. Powder kegs detonate their neighbours.

04

30 relics & 20 samurai ranks

Inside the heart of every sculpture sits a rotating golden relic. Clear all 3,300+ blocks across 30 levels (plus Endless Mastery) to fill the Trophy Vault.
